BL10 Wall bracket lamp - matt ivory
£449.00
The Bestlite designed in 1930 by Robert Dudley Best. When first manufactured they were bought by car repair shops and the Royal Air Force, a few made their way to Architects desks and was soon proclaimed by the Architects Journal as the first manifestation of Bauhaus design in the UK. Icon status followed as Winston Churchill had one on his desk in his air-raid shelter beneath Whitehall. Still manufactured in Birmingham, Danish company Gubi took over the company in 2004. Perfect in period and modern interiors. A design classic. Wall lamp adjustable in height, curved chrome arm and stem. Cap of stem, wall brackets, cable and switch all coordinated to match bell shade colour. On/off switch on the power cable. Shade interior glossy white.
