FAQs
Is everything you sell Scandinavian design?
The majority of items we sell come from Scandinavian manufacturers, companies, or originate from Scandinavian designers. Some of their designers come from other parts of the world, and some of their products are manufactured outside of Scandinavia.
We do have some products from British and European companies, that we feel enhance our collection, and stand out on their own for being all the things we love, beautiful, useful and simple design.
Who decides which goods you sell?
We buy a selection of products from over 25 companies, and currently we neither design, manufacture, nor commission products. We decide independently what we buy in.
Haven't I been to a Karlsson shop?
Maybe. Our retail outlet was in Ipswich. If you are interested in opening a Karlsson store, please contact us for franchise details.
The items you sell are they originals or reproductions?
It all depends on your definition of an original or a reproduction.
For us a reproduction is a product that has ceased being made by one manufacturer and later is manufactured by another, i.e. the Norm 69.
For us an original is a product that is made to the designers' original specification.
We never sell products that are manufactured without the permission of the designer or by the estate of a deceased designer. We do sell however re-loved (vintage / second hand).
Can I return goods I have bought you ?
You can return goods within 30 days for an exchange or a credit note if you have a receipt and the original packaging, and the goods has not been used or damaged. This does not apply to special orders, i.e. goods bespoke made for you or goods bought in at your request that we do not stock. Refunds are only made on genuinely faulty goods. This does not affect your statutory rights and is in accordance with the Sale of Goods Act 1979. The cost of returning these goods are bourne by you.
