who is karlsson

Karlsson started in 2006.

I named the company after my mother’s maiden name.

We started out wanting to bring beautiful, useful, simple design to East Anglia.

I always wanted to know why there wasn’t a great design shop in East Anglia, and that if I wanted something, I would travel to other parts of the country to buy them; so I decided to open a shop.  A crazy idea maybe, and after searching for a great location we decided on a Georgian building near the town centre.  After almost 5 wonderful years we chose to reach more customers, so in May 2011 we closed the shop, and have now settled into our newhome online.

We buy from over 25 companies, and as such we can often order in for customers, items that we do not usually stock.  If there is something you are looking for , please ask us and we will let you know if it is something we could find for you.

It’s not about how many things you own, or where they come from, but the pleasure they give you.  Finding the perfect gift that you wish you could keep for yourself, or the perfect item you never knew of, until you came in and found it at Karlsson; Beautiful, useful, simple.
